Creating a Sensory Inclusive Classroom

Explore how small changes can be made to the classroom environment to make a big difference in a child's ability to learn, play and develop.

Workshop Summary

Increasing numbers of children experience difficulties with interaction, play and sensory processing.

The classroom environment can be overwhelming for many children.

Specialist services are patchy and often it can feel as though there is no help and support.

This 90 minute online course will take you through a process of adapting the environment to meet all children's needs.

The course is delivered by a specialist Occupational Therapist and supports you to make tweaks and learn new skills to meet the needs of all your child. Vicky Robinson, Occupational Therapist, will guide you in how to make a sensory-inclusive environment for all children to support their attention, play skills, behaviour and learning.

The short bite-sized videos and accompanying workbook helps all staff to gain the skills they need to become nurturing development partners and children champions
